Abhilash Raghavan is a seasoned legal professional with over two decades of experience spanning litigation, corporate and commercial advisory, transactions, compliance, risk management, and in-house legal leadership. He brings a distinctive combination of law-firm experience and extensive in-house leadership, enabling him to provide commercially pragmatic and strategic legal solutions to Clients.
Prior to Aby Law, Abhilash served as General Counsel at Verizon India where he headed the legal function in India and advised senior management and the Board on a broad range of legal and business matters. He also worked closely with global and regional stakeholders across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Earlier, as Head of Legal at Indecomm Global Services, Abhilash led a legal team supporting the company's India and APAC operations. He advised the management and Board on business transactions, M&A, contracts, real estate, procurement, compliance, risk and other contentious matters.
His earlier career includes in-house legal roles with Aditya Birla Group and Sasken Technologies, as well as law-firm experience with Krishnamurthy & Co. and Vijayagopal & Associates.
He has significant experience in corporate and commercial transactions, M&A, contracts, regulatory compliance, employment and labour laws, dispute resolution, risk and governance, real estate and procurement, and cross-border matters. He has managed external counsel across jurisdictions and has worked on transactions and legal matters involving India, the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
Besides law, Abhilash also majored in Economics, Political Science and History. His multidisciplinary academic background, combined with more than 20 years of legal and business experience, enables him to approach complex legal issues with a broader understanding of commercial, economic and organisational considerations.
